This programme as been developed to fulfil a need for children who are not getting the best opportunities to learn to read as an essential part of their early education.

Referrals come from schools, parents, community groups who recognise slow or poor reading ability in children.  The programme co-ordinator then works with the child and and family to set up an individual reading programme at home where reading becomes a fairly activity supported and participated in by everyone on a regular basis.
