National Heart FoundationThe Maniapoto Community Services has been very active in promoting the National Heart Foundation programmes, this has consisted of networking with the Iwi/Community, and Maraes ensuring that appropriate steps are taken to inform the local community and iwi of the services being made available through our organisation and the National Heart Foundation. The National Heart Foundation Programmes that have been promoted by the Maniapoto Community Services has worked successfully for families over the past three years. Our Community Social Services Division is optimistic that ongoing health promotion and education will encourage and increase participation by maximising and developing a local acceptance and responsibility for community health.
