Rangatahi Good Health

Poor health, a lack of knowledge and understanding of persons health care, indifferent attitudes toward the promotion of personal good health are all significant factors influencing higher than acceptable levels of illness in our Rangatahi. Ongoing illness and disease which is controllable and preventable, among our young people is a condition that can be reversed with good health education programmes and easier access to information.

The Maniapoto Rangatahi Good Health Promotion programmes are designed to provide a high quality, and easily accessible information and health education services for our Rangatahi within Maniapoto.

The Maniapoto Rangatahi programmes are designed to provide a high quality, and easily accessible information and health education services for the Rangatahi within Maniapoto.

Objectives

To improve the social and health status of young people in the Maniapoto Rohe
To provide worthwhile, informative health and social programmes on staying healthy and taking responsibility for one’s own wellbeing, for young people
To provide improved self-esteem, personal development and positive parenting for young persons.
To provide a guidance service for young people on how to best access the Iwi health and social services in our community.
To establish a information service on how to maintain good social and health standards amongst young people
